1. Who we are
Mentorsy ("Mentorsy," "we," "us"), a proprietorship registered in India as a micro enterprise (Udyam Registration No. UDYAM-HR-16-0052788), with its principal place of business at 448 A/24, Kiran Niwas, Jagdish Colony, Rohtak, Haryana 124001, India, provides live 1:1 online classes for school students. This policy explains what information we collect through mentorsy.in and our classes, how we use it, and the choices you have. Questions? Write to support@mentorsy.in.
2. Information we collect
- Details you give us when you book a free trial, on our website or through a form in one of our Facebook or Instagram ads: the parent's name, the child's name and age or school year, the child's curriculum, your WhatsApp number, your email address if you share it, the subject, your country or city, your preferred date and time, your timezone, and any referral code.
- Details you give us when you enrol: the child's grade, school curriculum, subjects and availability, and a record of the plan you have chosen.
- Class information: schedules, class notes, progress reports, work your child shares in class, and session recordings as described in our Terms of Service.
- Messages: what you send us by WhatsApp, email or through our forms.
- Job applications: if you apply through our Careers page — your name, email, WhatsApp number, city, subjects, experience and the CV you upload.
- How you reached our website: the page you first opened, the website or advertisement that brought you here, and any campaign labels in the link you tapped. This is remembered in your browser for up to 30 days and sent to us with the free trial form.
- Device and usage information: when our analytics and advertising tools are switched on, they use cookies and similar technologies to collect information such as the pages you view, your approximate location, your device and browser type, and whether you submitted a form.
3. How we use it
- to contact you and schedule your child's free trial class;
- to match your child with a suitable mentor and deliver classes, reports and support;
- to review job applications and contact applicants;
- to understand which of our pages, posts and advertisements families find useful, and to measure and improve our advertising;
- to keep our services safe, and to meet our legal obligations.
4. Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as follows:
- Your child's mentor receives what they need to teach — for example the child's first name, grade, subject and learning needs.
- Service providers that help us run Mentorsy: form delivery (FormSubmit), Google services (such as Sheets, Drive, Gmail and Analytics), Meta (advertising measurement on Facebook and Instagram), video-class tools (such as Zoom), and our website and portal hosting providers. They process information on our behalf for the purposes described here.
- Authorities, where the law requires it.
5. Children
Our classes are for school students, and we work with their parents or guardians. Information about a child is given to us by the parent or guardian who books or enrols. If you believe a child has shared personal information with us without a parent's involvement, write to support@mentorsy.in and we will remove it.
6. Cookies and your choices
You can block or delete cookies and site data in your browser settings; the website will still work. You can manage how Meta uses your information for advertising in your Facebook or Instagram ad preferences, and you can install Google's Analytics opt-out add-on for your browser. You can ask us at any time to stop contacting you about our classes.
7. Where your information is stored
We are based in India and teach families in many countries. Our service providers may store and process information on servers in countries other than the one you live in.
8. How long we keep it
We keep enquiry details for as long as needed to respond and follow up with you, and we keep the records of enrolled families for as long as you are learning with us and afterwards where the law or our legitimate record-keeping requires it. You can ask us to delete your information sooner.
9. Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you or your child, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to support@mentorsy.in and we will respond within 60 days. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under your local data-protection law, and we will honour them.
10. Security
We limit access to your information to the team members and mentors who need it, and we use reputable providers to store it. No method of storing or sending information is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the revised version here with a new "Last Updated" date.
